Removing a balcony. Rebuilding confidence.
An upper-level deck and access doors needed to be removed and the exterior wall reinstated before the property’s sale. GRIT coordinated with council and the required trades to complete the scope, keeping the owners informed through a tight programme.

A sound finish for an existing home.
The existing elevated timber deck, balustrade and double doors were removed. The opening was reframed for a new aluminium window, with the building wrap, insulation and weatherproofing details addressed as part of the reinstatement.
Monolithic cladding can pose leaky-building challenges, especially around openings and former deck penetrations. GRIT coordinated with council to complete the agreed scope and paid close attention to these junctions during reinstatement.
The exterior plaster and paint and affected interior finishes were then made good to integrate the work with the home. GRIT arranged the required subcontractors and managed the sequence of work.
From opening to window.

“We engaged Dylan from Gritforce to project manage a demolition of a balcony and reinstatement ready for sale of our property. Timelines were tight and we were extremely pleased with the outcome. The quote provided was in detail and the work well scoped. Dylan arranged all work with subcontractors required. His communication was exactly what we needed and all work was to a high standard. The final invoice also reflected savings he made and overall we are pleased to recommend him - Dennis and Alison Finnigan”
